All designs in this customizer are pre-approved patterns eligible for Jockey Club registration. A few rules to keep in mind as you build your silks:

Jockey Club Registration Guidelines

The Jockey Club simplified its New York silks rules in September 2026. Here's what to know as you build yours.

Colors

Maximum two colors on the jacket, two on the sleeves, four total. Navy blue is not an available color. Colors are registered to one individual by full legal name, not a stable name.

Letters, Initials & Stable Names

You can add initials, numbers, or your stable name to the front and back. All characters need to fit in a space no more than 12 inches in diameter.

Emblems

Emblems are allowed on the front and back. They can't have commercial significance, so no business logos or ads, and they can't be offensive, disparaging, or inflammatory. Not sure if yours works? Email racing@quinellasilks.com and we'll check with the Jockey Club for you.

Construction

Front and back of the jacket must be identical, except for the seam design.

Registration

Registration is free. The Jockey Club has the final say on every registration. We send a proof of your design with your application and handle any changes they ask for.
